back again
a haiku poem about the hope of the second coming of Christ
forever, amen. he is coming back again he reigns; he will win!
About
Scripture speaks to placing much hope in the glorious second coming of Christ. This hope is a hope we can cling to in the midst of any present sufferings.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. - Romans 8:18
A reason we can look to this hope is because as part of Christ’s return, he will destroy Satan and all sin and evil for good, establishing a new heavens and new earth free from death, mourning, crying, or pain.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” - Revelation 21:3-4
Knowing this, we are called to seek to rejoice in hope as God’s love and Spirit dwells in our hearts and guides our lives.
Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. - Romans 5:2-5
God has ruled and reigned from eternity; his kingdom will forever rule over all (Psalm 103:19)! The grand story of all things starts and ends with him.
I know how the story ends
We will be with You again

Prayer
Lord,
We acknowledge your sovereign reign and rule over the world. We joyfully anticipate your return! Help us to place all of our hope and faith in you.
Amen.

Been living in Romans 8 for a bit now. My next post is going to feature it heavily.
