Keeping Count

a poem about remembering what God has done

Our minds are quick to count our fears,
and much slower to count our blessings.
We keep track of what has gone wrong,
and fail to rejoice in what has gone right.
It’s easy to lose count of answered prayers.
We all have so many…
When we find ourselves keeping count
of the negatives of how life has gone,
may we instead try and fail to keep count
of all the ways He has upheld us, all in all.
